Ontario Provincial Police are looking for the driver of a pickup truck who failed to remain at the scene of a collision after a cyclist was struck on Highway 17 in Wahnapitae July 26. “At approximately 7:20 a.m., members of the Nipissing West (Sudbury) Detachment of the OPP responded to a report of a collision involving a cyclist and a pickup truck on Highway 17 in Wahnapitae,” police said in a news release Monday. “The cyclist was transported to a local hospital with serious, but non-life-threatening injuries.” Police are now looking to identify a dark coloured Ford pickup truck believed to be missing its passenger-side mirror. Anyone who witnessed the collision or who may have dashcam footage from the area between 7:00 a.m. and 7:30 a.m. is asked to contact the OPP at 1-888-310-1122 and reference incident number E261065437.
