Police officers, detectives and forensic investigators taped off a home in North Bay’s south end late Tuesday afternoon as part of an active missing person’s investigation. The expanded police presence arrived at the scene in the 200 block of Mulligan Street around 3:30 p.m. and officers were seen entering the home and the backyard. Police are searching for ‘Pierre,’ a missing 62-year-old who disappeared 11 days ago. Police said Tuesday morning they were becoming increasingly concerned about his well-being. He has a medium build, standing at 5-foot-11 with black and grey hair past his shoulders. He was last seen wearing a Harley Davidson T-shirt, blue jeans, a blue baseball cap and a brown jacket. “Any information can be critical to this investigation,” said Acting Insp. Vince Corrente. “We are asking the public to check security and dash cameras, and speak with neighbours -- even small details may be significant.” In a statement late afternoon, North Bay police said that several police units are searching the area and it may include searches of backyards. There is no threat to public safety and the public’s cooperation is appreciated.
