One person has been charged following a traffic complaint in the Municipality of Temagami on Sept. 4. Members of the Temiskaming and Temagami detachments of the Ontario Provincial Police responded to a traffic complaint around 6:45 p.m. about an impaired driver travelling on Highway 11 in Temagami. “Officers located the vehicle travelling on Highway 11 near Lake Temagami Access Road,” police said in a Sept. 9 news release. “A traffic stop was initiated and officers conducted an investigation. The driver was subsequently arrested for impaired operation.” A 30-year-old man from Etobicoke was charged with impaired driving. His licence was suspended automatically for 90 days and the vehicle was impounded. He was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Haileybury on Oct. 13.
