A vehicle was set on fire in the parking lot of an apartment building in Montreal’s Pierrefonds-Roxboro borough early Wednesday morning. Montreal police (SPVM) received a 911 call at 12:40 a.m. about the incident on des Cageux Street and Pierrefonds Boulevard. “Two other vehicles parked near the burning vehicle were damaged by the fire,” said Caroline Chèvrefils, a spokesperson with Montreal police. The vehicle is a total loss, but the property nearby was not damaged. “A suspect would have been seen setting the vehicle on fire and fleeing in a vehicle before the arrival of police,” said Chèvrefils. There were no reported injuries, and there have been no arrests. The file has been transferred to the Montreal police arson squad.
