Longueuil police (SPAL) is asking for the public’s help to locate a 68-year-old woman who has been missing since Saturday. Carmelle Thériault was last seen on Oct. 26 at 4 p.m. in Boucherville on Montreal’s South Shore. The image below was captured earlier that day, at 1:48 p.m. at the Jean Coutu located at 600 Boulevard du Fort-Saint-Louis in Boucherville. Thériault was seen wearing a white wool hat, a dark long-sleeved sweater, light pink trousers and white Adidas shoes with three black stripes on each side. She was carrying a black bag, in which she carries her 12-week-old grey kitten. Police said she is no longer believed to have the pink sleeveless jacket with her. According to the latest reports received by the SPAL, she was also seen near Highway 30 and Montée Sainte-Julie in Sainte-Julie. Accompanied by the kitten, she may be travelling on foot or by public transportation. She may frequent bars where there are games of chance like lottery or poker, according to the police press release. The SPAL says it has reason to fear for her health and safety.
