Two men are being treated for gunshot wounds after what Montreal police said was attempted murder in the city’s east end. Police received several 911 calls around 6 p.m. Friday concerning gunshots at a business in Riviere-des-Prairies—Pointe-aux-Trembles. The victims, ages 29 and 32, were inside the “car-related” business when the suspect entered and began firing before taking off, according to police. Shell casings were found on the ground. One victim was hit in the upper body and the other in the lower body. Their injuries are not life-threatening, said police. The men were both conscious and rushed to hospital when officers arrived. Police have yet to make an arrest. An investigation is ongoing.
