ORLANDO — Quebec’s Tammara Thibeault defeated Desley Robinson by unanimous decision on Saturday, becoming the IBF, WBO and The Ring women’s middleweight world champion. All three judges scored the fight 100–90 in favour of the Shawinigan-based boxer. Thibeault improved her record to 5-0, including three knock-outs. “I’m so grateful,” said Thibeault in a ring-side interview after her victory. “Boxing is a tough sport, but I’ve worked so hard. I put in the effort, and it showed tonight.” She made her professional debut in December 2024, following gold medals at the 2022 World Championships and the 2023 Pan American Games.
