The Kahnawake Peacekeepers are investigating after a man was shot dead in the parking lot of Robbie’s Smokehouse on Tuesday afternoon. According to Const. Kyle Zachary, the shooting occurred around 2:32 p.m. The 41-year-old victim is not a resident of Kahnawake. Quebec provincial police were called to assist in the investigation. Zachary said there is no active threat to the community. Investigators have contacted several nearby businesses and are looking for surveillance footage. The Peacekeepers are asking anyone who witnessed the incident or has information to call 450-632-6505. The investigation is ongoing.
