Kahnawake Peacekeepers seize drugs, pill presses in two-day operation

Kahnawake Peacekeepers seized large quantities of ecstasy and methamphetamine, along with several pill presses, during a two-day operation that concluded Wednesday.

The Kahnawake Peacekeepers (PKs) seized a large amount of drugs and equipment during a two-day operation that concluded Wednesday evening.

According to the force, the seizures occurred at a building on the same property as a home that burned down on Zachary Road in the Kanienʼkehá꞉ka (Mohawk) community on Sept. 21.

The drugs and equipment seized during the raid included:

• 32 kg of ecstasy/MDMA powder
• 23,773 ecstasy/MDMA pills
• 18 kg of methamphetamine pills
• 381,131 methamphetamine pills
• One pill press capable of making 30 pills at a time
• Three pill presses capable of making one pill at a time
• Other related powders and liquid chemicals

The operation was carried out jointly with specialized units of the Quebec provincial police (Sûreté du Québec).

The investigation remains ongoing.
