The two frontrunners in the Montreal mayoral election released their tax returns to give voters an idea of what they made leading into the Nov. 2 election. Ensemble Montreal leader Soraya Martinez Ferrada, 53, ran as the federal MP for Hochelaga from 2019 to 2025 and resigned her post on Feb. 5. Her 2024 declared gross income was $296,787. She also said she lost $16,991 on a rental property due to flood repairs. Her total net income after deductions was $214,002. Projet Montreal leader Luc Rabouin listed his gross employment income at $185,585 as Plateau-Mont-Royal borough mayor. In addition, he disclosed a $9,936 real estate income for a total net income after deductions of $177,309. Transition Montréal leader Craig Sauvé told CTV News that his total revenue in 2024 was $78,000, but after a $6,000 deduction, his net income was $72,000.
