Expect traffic on Highway 40 this weekend near the Île-aux-Tourtes Bridge

This weekend, those getting on or off the Island of Montreal on Highway 40 from the west should prepare for traffic due to closures.

The Quebec Transport Ministry (MTQ) said that from Friday at midnight to Monday at 5 a.m., Highway 40 eastbound (towards Montreal) will be completely closed between Exit 41 (Sainte-Anne-de-Bellevue, Boulevard des Anciens-Combattants) and the Pins Street service road.

The westbound lanes (towards Vaudreuil-Dorion) will be closed between Exit 41 (Sainte-Anne-de-Bellevue, Boulevard des Anciens-Combattants, Île Perrot) and the Senneville Road service road.

Traffic will be diverted to service roads, and the Île-aux-Tourtes Bridge will remain open.

“The ministry reminds road users of the importance of exercising caution and observing the speed limit in force,” the MTQ said in a news release.
