Cars set on fire at boxing promoter Yvon Michel’s home

The cars of Montreal boxing promoter Yvon Michel and his wife were set on fire in the driveway of his South Shore home early Tuesday morning.

The Roussillon Intermunicipal Police Board confirmed to Noovo Info that the fire at his home in Candiac is considered suspicious. Police have launched an investigation.

According to initial information provided to Noovo Info, Michel and his partner were not injured.

The fire began at 5:45 a.m. on Tuesday. Both vehicles are a total loss.

Possible suspects were reportedly spotted not far from the scene, but it’s too early to determine whether they are connected to the fire.

No arrests have been made.

A forensic team was called to the scene to collect evidence.
