Two young children who were the subject of an Amber alert from 4:25 a.m. Sunday have been found safe in Saint-Paulin, about 60 kilometres from Trois-Rivières, in cooperation with the Trois-Rivières police. “It was information received from the public that allowed investigators to locate where they were (…) We can confirm both children have been found safe,” said Sgt. Élizabeth Marquis-Guy, spokesperson for Quebec provincial police (Sûreté du Québec - SQ) The Amber alert was lifted at 7:55 a.m. Sunday. The two boys, aged two and four, were abducted Saturday evening around 9:20 p.m. by a 29-year-old woman, whose identity is not being released to protect the children. She was driving a grey 2008 Acura RDX compact SUV. The suspect has been arrested and is expected to be interviewed by SQ investigators in the coming hours.
