The founder of London’s SunFest was honoured in the nation’s capital on Thursday. Sunfest was created by Guatemalan refugee Alfredo Caxaj. Caxaj received the Order of Canada during a ceremony in Ottawa on Thursday. He arrived in the Forest City with his family 40 years ago. Caxaj started the festival in 1994 which has since grown into a major attraction for tourists and musicians from around the world.
