Samm Simon knew he could do it, but that doesn’t mean it wasn’t a struggle at times. Simon ran 256 kilometres from Stratford to Tobermory, in seven days, completing the equivalent of a marathon a day. He started his ‘Epic Run for Cancer’ to honour his wife, who is currently battling terminal cancer, and to raise money for three organizations that have helped her. To date, Simon has raised over $35,000 for Wellspring Stratford, Stratford General Hospital and the London Health Sciences Centre Cancer Centre. Simon left Stratford on May 11 and arrived in Tobermory to his wife’s hug on May 18.
