One dead in Lambton County prompting homicide investigation

A male suspect has been arrested in connection with a homicide investigation after one person was killed and another was seriously injured just outside Port Franks Saturday afternoon.

Police responded to a residence in Northville Estates on Northville Crescent at about 1:40 p.m., finding the deceased person upon arrival. The injured person was brought to hospital.

Police say the suspect was arrested without incident.

According to police, the homicide investigation seems to be an isolated incident. Increased police presence in the area continues as the investigation is underway.

Police are asking anyone with information to come forward.
