London Hydro reporting thousands without power

A quick thunderstorm that passed through London, Ont. has left some hydro customers without power.

London Hydro says approximately 11,700 customers were affected during the height of the storm, primarily in the city’s west end, but there are some scattered outages across London.

As of 10 p.m. Tuesday, about 7,000 residents remain without power.

London Hydro is aware of some damaged poles and trees/limbs on lines. Crews are actively working to fix broken and damaged polls and wires.
