Highway 401 will be closed in both directions overnight this weekend as crews work on interchange improvements near Colonel Talbot Road. The Ministry of Transportation says the closure will run from 6 p.m. Saturday to 10 a.m. Sunday to accommodate bridge work. Westbound drivers will be detoured off Highway 401 at Highway 402 and directed along Highway 402 to Colonel Talbot Road. Eastbound motorists will exit at Colonel Talbot Road and follow Highway 3 to Wellington Road to return to Highway 401. Drivers are advised to follow posted detour signs and allow extra time for their trips. The work is part of ongoing improvements to the Colonel Talbot Road interchange, including road and underground infrastructure, paving on Tempo Road and landscaping as weather permits. Colonel Talbot Road remains closed between Tempo Road and Glanworth Drive until Friday, Nov. 27.
