Downtown shooting sends one to hospital

London police are investigating after a shooting took place in the downtown core Saturday night.

Police say the incident happened in the area of Dundas and Wellington Streets between 9 p.m. and 10 p.m.

When officers arrived, they located a man with gunshot wounds. He was taken to hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

Police have cleared the area and say there is no risk of public safety.

Investigators are requesting anyone who may have dash-cam, residential, or business surveillance that could assist with the investigation, to contact the London Police Service.
