‘A place for community’: New tennis, pickleball courts open in Huron County

A ribbon cutting ceremony was held in Wingham to unveil the new tennis/pickleball courts.

A new recreation space opened in Huron County Thursday.

A ribbon-cutting ceremony was held for Wingham’s new pickleball and tennis courts.

The project was paid for by the “Vance Fund” and the North Huron Township.

Locals say the sports are growing in popularity in the region, with these resurfaced courts expected to last for decades.

“It’s a place for community connection, to have fun, to come together in their own backyard,” said Nelson Santos, North Huron Township CAO.
