Student discovers antisemitic graffiti on their door at University of Guelph residence

An investigation is underway after a student made a troubling discovery at a University of Guelph residence.

According to the university, a student living in Johnston Hall found antisemitic graffiti on their door a week ago.

The school called it “a malicious act that violated the safety and respect every member of our residence community expects and deserves.”

Reports were filed with the Campus Security Office and Guelph Police Service.

The student is receiving ongoing support and the Diversity and Human Rights office is working with the university on what should happen next.
