Police trying to identify suspect in Guelph break-in

Guelph Police are asking for the public’s help to identify the person who broke into a north-end business on June 14.

Police said an alarm activated at an unnamed business on Silvercreek Parkway North just after 11:30 p.m.

Security video showed a woman prying the door open with what police described as a small crowbar-style tool.

“The woman entered the business and left a few minutes later with a large bag full of products believed to be clothing,” said police in a media release.

They also shared an image of the suspect taken from the security video.

The woman was described as white, with brown or dark red hair. She wore a black sweater, black pants and tan boots.

Police said she was driving a grey Honda Odyssey van.
