A Guelph man has turned himself in to police and is facing several driving-related charges. On Sunday, a Guelph Police Service officer was patrolling in the Watson Parkway North and Eastview Road area just after 1:30 p.m. The officer noticed a motorcycle with a “very loud” exhaust. The officer said the motorcyclist revved his bike several times while he was stopped. The motorcyclist then sped off along Eastview Road and passed other drivers by crossing over the solid yellow line on a hill. The officer turned on his lights and tried to stop the motorcyclist, but he took off. Investigators later identified the motorcyclist as a suspended driver who was also facing other criminal driving charges that were still before the courts. On Wednesday, the 26-year-old man turned himself in to police. He was charged with dangerous driving, flight from police, stunt driving, driving while suspended and other Highway Traffic Act charges.
