Guelph police are searching for an older-model motorcycle and its rider after the driver allegedly sped away from an attempted traffic stop in a school zone Thursday morning. An officer conducting traffic enforcement near MacAlister Boulevard and Victoria Road South tried to pull over the motorcycle at around 11 a.m. after the driver ran a stop sign, police said. The driver accelerated away at a high rate of speed. The officer lost sight of the vehicle as it headed eastbound on Kortright Road East. Police described the vehicle as an older-model motorcycle. The driver was wearing a white helmet and bright orange suspenders. Anyone with information or who saw the motorcycle is asked to contact Guelph police.
