An Oct. 8 incident that saw a Guelph store clerk sprayed in the face with a noxious substance has been resolved. Investigators said a customer called 911 around 6:10 a.m. on Wednesday, where they entered the unnamed business near York Road and Victoria Road South to find an employee in pain. The victim told police a woman had tried to buy alcohol and other items. After the clerk had refused to sell the alcohol due to the time of day, the woman removed an item from her pocket and sprayed the clerk in the face before fleeing with the merchandise. Guelph Police announced Monday morning they had identified the woman involved in the robbery. They thanked the public for their help in the investigation.
