A Guelph man is facing charges after police say he was observed committing an indecent act while seated at a splash pad in front of city hall Monday afternoon. “Just after 5 p.m. a man attended the splash pad in front of city hall, removed his shirt and sat down,” police said in a media release. “While seated, the man was observed touching himself with his hands inside his pants while looking in the direction of two parents and their young daughter.” The girl’s father confronted the man and forced him to leave the area, police said. Officers located a 51-year-old Guelph man nearby and arrested him. He is charged with committing an indecent act in a public place and two counts of breaching a probation order.
