A 19-year-old man from Burlington is dead and one person was charged following a crash in the Township of Erin early Saturday. Ontario Provincial Police were called to the intersection of Sideroad 10 at Eighth Line for a reported crash involving a utility task vehicle (UTV) around 12:15 a.m. Police said the UTV was carrying four passengers before it overturned at the intersection. A 19-year-old man from Burlington died due to the crash. Police said the other three people inside were not hurt. Police charged a 20-year-old man from Erin with young driver with a blood alcohol content above zero, operation causing death, dangerous operation causing death and operation while impaired with a blood alcohol concentration of 80 plus. Eighth Line between Wellington Road 124 and Sideroad 5 as well as Sideroad 10 between Trafalgar Rd. 24 and Ninth Line were closed for investigation.
