Paris Road was closed between Dundas Street East and Oak Park Road early Tuesday morning as emergency crews responded to a structure fire at a motel in Paris. Roughly 30 firefighters attended the scene after the call came in about the fire at a multi-unit residential around 3 a.m. The motel was evacuated and no injuries have been reported. Drivers were asked to avoid the area while crews remained on scene. The cause of the fire remains under investigation and the extent of any damage has not been released. The Office of the Fire Marshal has been notified.
