A prominent Stratford business owner is facing multiple fraud charges. In a release on Friday, police said multiple people contacted them in February 2023 about their investments with Kevin Larson. He turned himself in at police headquarters on Wednesday. Larson is charged with five counts of fraud over $5,000, nine counts of uttering forged documents and one count of false pretenses. CTV News spoke with Larson in 2020. At the time he was the owner of ‘The Hub,’ a Stratford restaurant that has since closed. He also owned and operated other restaurants in Mitchell, Seaforth, Lucan, and Bayfield, and had several commercial, financial, and development dealings in and around Stratford. Larson was found guilty in 2019 of breach of contract for not paying $530,000 to a local contractor for renovations done on ‘The Hub’ in Stratford. Police have not released details about the nature of their recent investigation or Larson’s alleged crimes. His next court appearance is on March 4. Anyone concerned about their dealings with Larson are advised to contact Stratford police.
