The Guelph Police Service arrested a Kitchener man following a hit and run crash on Thursday. The incident happened on Gordon Street, just south of Wellington Street. Police said a woman driving a SUV was hit from behind by another vehicle. The man driving the second vehicle did not stop. Around two hours later, he turned up at the Collison Reporting Centre, where officers detected the odour of alcohol while speaking with the man. Police said the man was given multiple sobriety tests which he failed, leading to his arrest. The 19-year-old from Kitchener was charged with impaired driving, dangerous driving and failing to stop after an accident.
