Four people are facing seatbelt related charges after a driver was pulled over in Elora. The Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) said the driver was stopped on Church Street on Sunday around 5:15 p.m. A 36-year-old was charged with driving while a passenger under 16 fails to properly wear a seatbelt. Meanwhile, a 27-year-old and two 22-year-olds were charged with failing to wear seatbelts. All four people are from Mississauga. “The OPP reminds all motorists and passengers that wearing a seatbelt is one of the simplest and most effective ways to prevent serious injuries and save lives,” the OPP said in a news release.
