A driver is facing charges for disobeying road closed signs after a severe storm blew through the Stratford area. The Stratford Police Service said they received a call about a crash on Perth Road 113 Thursday morning around 6:30 a.m. At the time, the road was still closed due to Wednesday night’s storm. Police said the driver chose to swerve around a road closed sign at Line 26. They then collided with a tree that had fallen onto the road. No one was hurt, but the vehicle’s airbags went off and the windshield was smashed. The driver has been charged with driving on a closed roadway.
