A new year means new changes to Grand River Transit and GO Transit schedules and operations. Here’s everything riders need to know. Grand River Transit Grand River Transit switches to its winter service schedule on Monday, Jan. 5. One of the biggest changes is the discontinuation of Route 110, which offered speedier trips between Conestoga College’s Doon campus and Fairview Station. GRT said Route 10 was the alternative option for riders, with buses running every 15 to 30 minutes. New trips have also been added to the 301 ION train schedule. GRT said northbound trips have been added to connected to GO Transit’s new late-night trains. According to GRT’s website, the LRT will leave Fairway Station at 12 a.m. and 12:30 a.m. and arrive at Central Station at 12:23 a.m. and 12:53 a.m. Also new in 2026 are early morning trips on Route 206, departing Southwood/Cedar at 5:30 a.m., and Route 302, leaving Fairway Station at 5:45 a.m. Route 27 will also service the new bus loop at Chicopee Resort when it opens later this winter. GO Transit Metrolinx said it is adjusting bus schedules for routes 16 (Hamilton/Toronto Express), 17 (Waterloo/Hamilton), 21 (Milton), 29 (Guelph/Mississauga), 30 (Kitchener), 31 (Kitchener), 33 (Kitchener), 40 (Hamilton/Richmond Hill Pearson Express), 47 (Hamilton/Pickering), 56 (Oshawa/Oakville), and 71 (Stouffville) to “better reflect actual travel times.” GO Transit is also adding weekday trips on routes 29 and 31 due to increased demand. There will be one new eastbound trip and two westbound trips on route 29 (Guelph/Mississauga), as well as one new westbound trip on route 31 (Kitchener). All of these changes go into effect Jan. 3.
