Waterloo Regional Police are asking for the public’s help in a break-and-enter investigation. On Thursday, someone entered a home near Waterbridge Court and Windrush Trail in Kitchener. Police said they smashed the glass of a sliding patio door to get inside, sometime between 9:30 a.m. and 11:30 p.m. It’s not known if anything was taken. Police said it was the second break-in reported in the neighbourhood this month. “As part of the investigation, officers are asking residents and motorists who were in the area and may have dash camera, residential security camera, or other video footage to review their recordings and submit any relevant footage,” a media release said. Police are specifically looking for video taken between 9 a.m. and 12 p.m. in the following areas: Windrush Trail, Waterbridge Court, Doon South Drive and Doon Village Road. Residents are asked to contact Waterloo Regional Police’s Break and Enter, Auto Theft, and Robbery (BEAR) Unit at 519-570-9777, extension 8255.
