Ontario Provincial Police are putting out a warning after at least five police vehicles were hit during whiteout conditions. In a video posted to social media Saturday night, Sgt. Ed Sanchuk with the West Region Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) said, “Five OPP cruisers have been struck from behind by motorists who have gone around road closed signs in whiteout conditions.” Sanchuk said he was not aware of any reported injuries at the time of posting. Earlier in the day, police had reported whiteout conditions and blowing snow in Middlesex County, Huron County, Perth County and South Bruce County. “If you do need to travel, I’m telling you right now, there is zero visibility on some of the roadways. They are being cleared as quickly as they can, so bear with us.”
