There are some smart and stylish ways to keep your beverages cool when entertaining during the summer months. Here are a few ideas and products:

1. Sowine 2- bottle compartment, $449. Keeps 2 bottles of wine at two independent temperatures that they are always ready to be consumed. Red wine stored at 18c and white at 8c. Once the bottle has been opened, it can be stored back in the compartment for up to 10 days; there is an oxygen extraction feature that keeps the wine fresh as the day it was opened.

2. Thermos 4-bottle Collapsable Party Cooler Bag, $24. Great for keeping bottles chilled when outside. Features Iso-Tech insulation, is leak proof and fully collapsable for easy storage. Holds up to 6-750 ml bottles plus ice.

3. Ravi Chiller wine spout, $39.95. A Canadian product designed by Quebec designer Michel Dallaire. Chill the Ravi in the freezer for 6 hours before using. Place the chiller on the neck of a wine bottle and allow the wine to flow through. As it travels through the chiller it will chill your wine (there is a white or red option) to the perfect serving temperature. The Ravi will chill wine for up to an hour. Store in freezer.

4. Juice Sangria Jug, $19.99, Bed, Bath & Beyond. Keeps juices or sangrias cold with an ice infuser. As ice melts it stays in its compartment and does not dilute the drink.

5. Using salt to make colder, chillier ice: Add 1 cup of salt to 1 quart of water and 4 quarts of ice. The ice will become much colder; shortening the cooling time of wine or pop in half. Adding salt to the ice is an old trick used with the old fashioned ice cream makers.
