SAN JUAN, Puerto Rico - A judge in Puerto Rico has dismissed a lawsuit filed by the widow of a slain Canadian businessman seeking millions from his estate.

Judge Daniel Dominguez says Aurea Vazquez Rijos repeatedly failed to comply with court orders and delayed her deposition too many times.

He says the court would not delay the case any longer.

Vazquez filed the suit after her former husband, Adam Anhang, was beaten to death in 2005, seeking $1 million in damages and half of his estate.

Anhang, a Winnipeg native who moved to Puerto Rico a year before the attack, was beaten and stabbed to death as he walked along the cobblestone streets of Old San Juan with Vazquez.

U.S. federal authorities accuse Vazquez of promising to pay a man $3 million to kill Anhang.
