Jennifer Hudson was furious when she was Photoshopped to look slimmer than she was.

The singer-and-actress – who has lost over 80lbs over the last two years – was upset that images of her when she was bigger were altered by a publication to make her appear thinner as she felt it was sending out the wrong message to her fans.

She told Dateline: "It's like, ‘Where's the rest of me?' They Photoshopped me probably to the size I am now on that cover, when we all know I was nowhere near that.

"To me, it did not send out a good message. And it did not represent me well. Did I not just prove that talent is enough if I made it this far? Being who I am, being the size that I am?"

Last year, Jennifer opened her own weight loss centre.

The 'Dreamgirls' star - who has lost over five dress sizes following the birth of her son David in August 2009 - launched the Weight Watchers Jennifer Hudson Center in September in her native Chicago.

The actress – who is engaged to WWE wrestler David Otunga - said: "I never thought I would make it to have my own centre. I'm so honoured to be here and see this day."

A portion of the facility's profits will go to children's charity the Julian D. King Gift Foundation, which was set up by Jennifer in memory of her late nephew, Julian King.
