A U.S. woman who went viral for her reaction to her quadruplet ultrasound has given birth to two sets of identical twins in Utah.

Ashley Gardner and her husband Tyson welcomed their “Quad Squad” into the world on Sunday, when doctors delivered the four babies by caesarean section about 12 weeks ahead of schedule.

Indie, Esme, Scarlett and Evangeline Gardner each weighed about two pounds at birth.

Mom Ashley and her babies are all reportedly doing well after the premature delivery, which became necessary due to complications with the pregnancy.

The couple rose to Internet fame in August, when photos showing Ashley’s reaction to the quadruplet news went viral.

Ashley and Tyson Gardner had been trying to have a baby for eight years, and finally saved up enough money for in-vitro fertilization this year. Ashley Gardner became pregnant in July and discovered in August that she was carrying quadruplets.

The Gardners have appeared on several talk shows since the August ultrasound photos were released, and they’ve established a Facebook page and website for fans to track their fertility journey.

A video posted to their Facebook page ahead of the birth on Sunday shows the Gardners thanking their fans and praying for good fortune.

“We need lots of prayers for the next 48 hours, and after that for the babies,” Ashley Gardner says in the video.

The Gardner family’s time in the spotlight is only just beginning.

Ashley and Tyson Gardner have signed on with the TLC network to appear in a television series about first-time parents.

The odds of a woman giving birth to two sets of identical twins are reportedly one in 70 million, but the occurrence is not unheard of.

A U.K. woman gave birth to two sets of twins – two boys and two girls – in March of 2013. They were delivered 11 weeks prematurely, and weighed about two pounds at birth. They were also conceived through IVF.
