LONGUEUIL, Que. - A funeral was held Saturday for an 82-year-old woman who was found slain three weeks ago near Sherbrooke.

Friends and family of Rejeanne Pelletier-Charette crowded into a service in Longueuil, near Montreal.

The body of the well-liked elderly woman was found in a field near her home four days after she went missing.

Quebec provincial police said an autopsy determined she had been stabbed.

A 16-year-old boy has been charged with kidnapping Pelletier-Charette and car theft. He was also ordered to undergo a psychiatric evaluation.
