MONTREAL - A Montrealer accused of uttering death threats on his Facebook page is also going to be charged with possessing child pornography.

A Crown prosecutor and a defence lawyer both said today David Abitbol will face the additional charges in the near future.

Abitbol's scheduled bail hearing has been put off until Oct. 13.

Crown attorneys say hundreds of troubling pictures were allegedly found on Abitbol's computer.

The number of charges he will face is unclear because police are still analyzing the computer.

The 28-year-old man has already been charged with uttering death threats and illegal storage of firearms.

Abitbol remains in custody.

Provincial police say Abitbol was arrested at his parents' home on Saturday and that they seized five weapons and hundreds of rounds of ammunition.

The arrest came a day after police received a tip that someone using the moniker "David Darkiller" had written threatening messages on Facebook last Friday.

Abitbol's parents have said it's all a misunderstanding and that their son was merely playing games on his computer.
