Scott Disick was convinced he was going to die when he nearly overdosed on drink and pills in June.

The 31-year-old reality star was rushed to a hospital in The Hamptons in the summer after partying "all night long" and then taking nearly an entire bottle of sleeping pills, and he even confessed to his long-time girlfriend Kourtney Kardashian at the time that he feared he was going to meet his maker.

Speaking the day after the incident on 'Kourtney & Khloe Take The Hamptons', Disick – who has children, Mason, four, and two-year-old Penelope, with the 35-year-old beauty - explained: "I was just scared - my heart was racing, and at the same time the sleeping pills were kicking in and pulling my heart down.

"I just thought that that was gonna be my time."

Following the near-death experience, Disick admitted he needed to do something about his partying antics to avoid a repeat performance.

He said: "It's no secret that over the years I've suffered from drinking problems, and now I'm very depressed with everything I've gone through in the past year.

"I'm thinking I need to make a change and that may be checking in to a facility.

"I just know that if I don't do something now I may never be able to get the life back that I want."

As a result, Kardashian - who his pregnant with their third child - tried to convince Disick to enter rehab to help him sort out his issues.

She said: "This has never happened before, where Disick said he needed to go to the emergency room.

"I don't think he's probably ever taken these morning sleeping pills after drinking.

"My biggest fear is if he continues on this road and I don't know where that could lead."

However, Disick wasn't too keen about going to rehab and in a phone call between the couple broadcast on 'Kourtney & Khloe Take The Hamptons', he is seen telling her: "30 days away from the kids just freaks me out."

But Kardashian fires back: "You're either going to be away for a month - or be away from them forever."
