Kevin Jonas wants a baby girl.

The Jonas Brothers singer and his wife of three-and-a-half years, Danielle, announced they were expecting their first child earlier this week.

Jonas has now revealed he would prefer a daughter because there is already too much testosterone in his family.

He told E! News: "I would love to see a girl in the midst of all these boys all over the place. But then again, at the end of the day, if it's a boy -- oh man, we're starting trouble."

Meanwhile, the Disney star's two younger brothers, Nick and Joe Jonas, plan to be hands-on uncles and are more concerned with helping bring up a well-rounded and cultured kid.

Nick, 20, is determined to pass the trio's musical talent on, explaining: "I think, for me, it's gonna be a lot of music lesson. I want this kid to be good in baseball, as well. Basically all the things I love."

Joe, 23, wants to instil his love of travelling in his niece or nephew, saying: "I want to be able to be like, Kevin calls me three days later like, 'What? Where's my kid?' And I'm like, 'I have her in Taiwan, I forgot to tell you.' I want the kid to be adventurous."

Kevin Jonas, 25, also revealed he told Danielle's family the good news before telling his own siblings, even though the wait was unbearable.

Jonas explained: "We actually waited a week to tell them (Joe and Nick) because we wanted to tell them in person ... I was dying inside."

The couple -- who wed in December 2009 -- have often discussed their desire to start a family on their fly-on-the-wall reality show 'Married to Jonas'.

Jonas previously said: "We're at that (three-year) mark and people are like, 'All right guys, what's your plan? When are you going to have those grandkids?' I'm starting to feel that pressure a little bit."
