Alec Baldwin says he’s doing fine after crashing into a tree while trying to avoid a garbage truck on Monday. “I just want to post a quick message,” Baldwin told his Instagram followers, “I’m fine.” In a short video, The actor revealed that he had been in a car accident after being cut off by a garbage truck “the size of a whale.” “To avoid hitting him, I hit a tree — a big fat tree,” he said. The actor was driving with his brother in his wife’s car. He told his followers that he crushed the car, “but its all fine, I’m fine, and my brother’s fine.” He also thanked the East Hampton police force for their help and signed off by saying he was going to see his family, and that he is proud of his wife. “Hilaria, I love you more than anything and I’m very proud of you,” he said. The crash was first reported by TMZ. Baldwin has remained in the public eye following the 2021 fatal shooting of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins on the set of the film ‘Rust.’ In July 2024, a judge dismissed the involuntary manslaughter charge against him, and the case cannot be retried.
