Soak up some sunshine and mid-20s highs this week. And... after starting Monday with some early-morning showers, we should stay dry for most (probably all) of this week. If we’re going to see any precipitation, there’s a slight chance Wednesday night. Outside of that, it looks dry in the Edmonton area until Sunday. Elsewhere... we’ll have some showers and thunderstorms (possibly severe) in western and southern Alberta late Monday. There’s also a chance of some showers and thunderstorms on tap for northeastern Alberta Wednesday night/early Thursday. Don’t expect any runaway heat. Afternoon highs will top out around 25 C Tuesday-Friday. There isn’t a strong upper ridge moving in to keep skies completely clear and pump temperatures into the upper 20s/near 30 C. But, highs near 25 C are a few degrees above average. Looking long range: A wetter pattern returns next week with a chance of showers or steadier rain Sunday night into Monday and Tuesday night through Wednesday.
