A popular bakery in south central Edmonton that went up for sale this summer has sold. Hazeldean Bakery owner Lucy Lu is retiring at the end of the month. The bakery has been a part of the Hazeldean strip mall for 50 years. Lu, who has owned it for almost 16 years, says she sold it so she can move to British Columbia to be with her family. A sign on the door says the Hazeldean Bakery will close on Christmas Eve, with its new owners taking over after Christmas.
