Police are searching for three people after seizing more than $30,000 worth of cocaine, fentanyl and methamphetamine. On Wednesday, the Alberta Law Enforcement Response Teams (ALERT) said in a news release that a 34-year-old man, a 22-year-old woman, and a 22-year-old man were dealing drugs in the Lloydminster area. ALERT said it seized drugs, money, stolen property, ammunition and a sawed-off rifle during the course of a drug trafficking investigation which began in April. “The presence of drugs and firearms in our community represents a serious public safety risk,” Sgt. Bruce MacLean with ALERT said in a statement. Warrants for the three were issued on Nov. 14 for offences related to drug trafficking. A fourth person, a 54-year-old man from Lloydminster, was arrested for suspected affiliation to the group and charged with drug trafficking and possession of proceeds of crime.
