RCMP have issued arrest warrants for two men following an early morning home invasion in Gregoire Lake Reserve on Thursday. At 2:08 a.m., Wood Buffalo RCMP responded to a report of a home invasion. Two men entered a home, assaulted someone and pointed a firearm at them, demanding the victim’s phone and money, according to RCMP. The two men fled the area in a black side-by-side (UTV). Police weren’t able to find the men, but say the investigation revealed them to be Fort McMurray residents Jeremy Lacorde, 35, and Leighton Haineault, 35. Arrest warrants for the two men have been obtained. Lacorde is facing robbery, assault, theft and failure to comply charges. Haineault is facing robbery and failure to comply charges. “Both Lacorde and Haineault are still at large, known to carry weapons and frequent Fort McKay, Fort McMurray and Lac La Biche areas,”according to police. “RCMP warn the public to not approach the suspects.” Anyone with information on the men’s whereabouts is asked to call Wood Buffalo RCMP at 780-788-4000 or contact Crime Stoppers.
