A high school in Red Deer, Alta., was evacuated Monday after what Mounties believe was pepper spray got into the ventilation system. Red Deer fire crews responded to Lindsay Thurber Comprehensive High School around 2 p.m. after reports of oleoresin capsicum – the primary ingredient used in the tear gas product – being sprayed into a bathroom vent. Students were dismissed early for the day while crews worked to clear the ventilation system. RCMP say the investigation is ongoing.
