Mounties in Valleyview, Alta., have charged an 18-year-old with manslaughter in connection with a stabbing death early Friday morning. RCMP and EMS responded to a stabbing at a home in the northwestern town just after 5:30 a.m. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene. An autopsy has been scheduled in Edmonton for Monday. Darcy Kappo, an 18-year-old Sturgeon Lake First Nation resident, faces a manslaughter charge. The RCMP major crimes unit is now investigating. He remains in custody and will appear in court on Nov. 19.
